Position Description
As a surgical nurse, you will be responsible for providing preoperative and postoperative patient care. You will work alongside a team of nurses, medical doctors, surgeons, and anesthetists to ensure safe and effective medical procedures. Additionally, you should be up-to-date with the latest developments in healthcare best practices.
Responsibilities
Provide preoperative patient care, which includes preparing patients for surgery and giving preoperative instructions
Assist the anesthetists and surgeons when needed
Ensure safe sterilization and accurate incision making
Intervene when needed
Administer postoperative medication
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
Relevant experience as a surgical nurse
A bachelor’s degree in nursing (or equivalent)
