About Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB)
-
Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) is a nonprofit that creates labour mobility pathways for refugees and displaced people. Instead of humanitarian resettlement, TBB connects refugees with international employment opportunities in countries offering safety and stability. TBB does not assist with humanitarian resettlement, internships, or scholarships.
-
Job Matching: We use a talent platform (Talent Catalog) where skilled refugees create profiles. We then work to match these profiles with available job opportunities posted by employers who are open to hiring refugees.
Supporting candidates who have independently received job offers.
Support through the process: Once a job match is made, we can offer guidance and support to both the employer and the candidate through the visa and immigration process. This can include assistance with documentation and understanding the requirements of specific migration programmes.
Advocacy and education: We advocate for policy changes that make it easier for refugees to use their skills to migrate. We also educate governments and employers about the benefits of refugee labour mobility.
Registering in the Talent Catalog
-
If you're a refugee or other forcibly displaced person and you are interested in international employment, you can create a profile on TBB’s Talent Catalog here: tctalent.org.
For better job matching, provide detailed experiences, skills, education, and languages on your profile. You can also update or delete your profile anytime. -
No. Registering on our Talent Catalog does not guarantee employment. Due to the large number of registrants, only a small percentage will be offered international positions depending on labour market demand. Therefore, we encourage candidates to continue pursuing other opportunities and looking for job openings independently, as TBB may be able to support the relocation journey of those who have secured job offers. Otherwise, we will contact you only if an employer is interested in your profile or if we need to verify your information.
-
After you register, we keep your profile until we find a job that matches your skills. When a suitable opportunity comes up, our team will contact you to connect you with the employer.
The hiring process is managed by employers based on their needs. If your profile fits a job they posted, they will decide the timeline for hiring. We are here to help connect you and provide support along the way. Once we find a job for you, we will reach out promptly.
-
Here are some tips from our team on how to do so:
Ensure your profile is fully completed with detailed information, keywords related to your jobs, especially in the occupations section. Include a detailed job description to give us a clearer understanding of your skills, allowing us to better match you with opportunities. Also, if you have a CV in English, we ask that you attach it as well.
Keep your contact information, work experience, and certificates up to date.
Confirm that your profile has been successfully submitted and is not in draft status.
Language: Language skills remain essential, both for employers and for visa processes. We are currently supporting roles that may require English, French, Italian, German or Spanish. We encourage you to work to improve your language skills if you feel the need to do so. You can find English and French language resources on this page.
Our Updates: We encourage you to follow our Facebook page, as we post some of our active opportunities there. You can also find them on this page where you can nominate yourself if you think you are a good fit.
Developing Skills: TBB offers you free access to Coursera. You can use this resource to improve your skills, gain work experience, and market yourself to potential employers globally.
Finding job opportunities on your own: If you secure a job offer on your own, we might be able to support you with visa processes and relocation. Should you secure employment independently of TBB, we encourage you to contact us via email.
-
Our model is employer-driven, meaning that Talent Beyond Boundaries does not select candidates for international employment. Rather, we facilitate matches between candidates and potential employers. A decision about whether to hire someone is always made independently by the employer.

TBB cannot guarantee employment, as hiring depends on various factors such as available job positions, industry competition within our pool, and your skills.
Here are some common reasons you may not have been contacted yet, though this list is not exhaustive:
Your language level requires further improvement.
Your field of expertise does not match that of available opportunities.
Your current skills do not match the requirements of the available opportunities.
Your profile is marked as unreachable, indicating we have tried to contact you several times without receiving a response.
Your profile is currently in draft status, indicating that it has not been submitted yet. As a result, you are not yet considered a TBB candidate. To be recognized as a TBB candidate, please complete and submit your profile. To check if your profile is still in "Draft" status, log in to your profile. If you see the "Submit" button, it's still a draft; if you see the "Review" button, you're fully registered.
Please Note: Due to the large volume of registrants, we are unable to offer individual profile reviews or provide specific reasons why a candidate has not yet been contacted. We recommend reviewing the above list and ensuring your profile is complete and fully submitted.
Programme requirements and eligibility
-
Skilled work visas in English or French-speaking countries typically require functional English (minimum IELTS 4.5) or equivalent French proficiency (TCF/TEF), as mandated by governments and employers. Senior specialized roles in fields like Tech or Engineering often demand higher language skills. Because visa holders are typically expected to begin work within a month of arrival, demonstrating sufficient language proficiency for effective workplace communication prior to relocation is essential.
We also support recruitment to countries where other languages are required, including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Slovakia. If you hope to relocate to any of these destinations, we encourage you to begin improving the relevant language as early as possible.
-
Please note that having an IELTS score is not a requirement for candidates to be considered for international employment opportunities. However, in some cases, having an IELTS score is a requirement for obtaining the visa. In other cases, employers require a certain English language level. In those cases, TBB will assist you to take the exam after you receive a job offer.
In the meantime, we invite you to browse our English Resources page, which has material that can help you improve your English and prepare for the IELTS. -
No. Registering on the Talent Catalog is free. All of our services are free of charge for all candidates. If anyone asks you for money on TBB’s behalf, please report this activity to us immediately: candidates@talentbeyondboundaries.org.
During the visa process after a job offer, you may need to pay fees for document issuance, translation, or other administrative tasks directly to the relevant party, not TBB. Talent Beyond Boundaries will inform you of any anticipated expenses beforehand and provide support throughout the process.
-
No. You do not need any documents to register on the Talent Catalog. A passport can make the migration process easier, but it is not a requirement. Some skilled visa programmes require official documentation of your qualifications, whereas others do not. If an employer would like to interview you, we will ask you which documents you have.
-
No. TBB connects qualified candidates, regardless of vulnerability, with employers seeking their skill sets.
Hiring and visa process
-
In many skilled migration programmes, if you receive a job offer, you will be permitted to relocate with your immediate family (e.g. your spouse and any dependent children). However, some countries or specific temporary visa types do not allow for dependents to relocate immediately with the principal applicant.
Skilled visa programmes generally do not allow you to include extended family members like parents or siblings. Which relatives can travel with you depends entirely on the destination country and the specific visa pathway used. We will provide you with detailed and specific information regarding your family's eligibility based on the country and visa pathway linked to your job offer.
-
Depending on the role you have secured and your specific circumstances, TBB may be able to assist you with the visa application and relocation process. We can only assist candidates who are signed up to the Talent Catalog.
If you have successfully secured a job abroad, please follow the steps on this page.
-
TBB cannot provide a specific timeline for job matching or relocation because the process involves several steps that depend on employers, partners, and government authorities — not only on TBB. A typical process includes:
Employer engagement: Securing job openings from our partner employers.
Candidate matching: Initial screenings by TBB, reviewing profiles and shortlisting based on a specific employer criteria.
Interviews: Employer interviews which can include waiting periods from both parties.
Job offers and visa processing: Successful candidates receive job offers, followed by visa processing, which may take several months depending on government processing times.
Because of these factors, TBB cannot speed up or guarantee job matching, visa approval, or relocation outcomes. While we support candidates and employers throughout the process, final decisions — especially visas — rest entirely with governments.
Even when a candidate is matched and offered a job, labour mobility pathways are often lengthy and complex, and the overall process can take many months or more than a year.
