The employer, a global leader in malting, boasts a substantial production capacity and operates on 5 continents. They are currently seeking maintenance technicians for mechanical, electrical, and multiskilled (mechanical + electrical) roles in their company in Antwerp or Herent, Belgium. Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level is a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities for Electrical Maintenance Technicians:
Perform corrective and preventive electrical maintenance
Perform repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment
Support the installation of new equipment
Ensure all repairs are documented
Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area
Complete all paperwork neatly and correctly
Participate in BOPEX (continuous improvement) program
Responsibilities for Mechanical Maintenance Technicians:
Conducting mechanically oriented curative maintenance
Conducting mechanically oriented preventive maintenance
Perform repairs on production machines
Assisting in installing new machines
Ensure correct documentation of repairs
Conduct maintenance works taking into account safety and quality standards
Qualifications
Upper-intermediate communication skills in English, both written and oral
Awareness of safety requirements
1-2 years of electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with a manufacturing environment
Logical thinking
Comfortable working at heights
Able to work in a dusty environment, taking into consideration potential airway problems such as asthma
