Description
The employer is seeking a skilled sewing machinist to join their growing Team. This is an opportunity for an honest & loyal team player with a steady work ethic who is interested in furniture production and interior decorating. The employer works to enhance their customers’ reception lobbies, eating spaces, and work environments with personally designed seating, fabric paneling, or cushion work.
Responsibilities
Sew different fabrics like cotton, wool, leather or industrial textiles to build furniture
Program stitch patterns into a sewing machine
Operate thread-trimming and other non-sewing machines
Repair or alter items and do some hand-sewing when needed
Qualifications
Upper-Intermediate communication skills in English, both written and oral
A solid 5+ years of experience in cutting out and sewing
Ability to work with others in a team
Ability to understand instructions and communicate with others
Personal cleanliness and punctuality
