Brothers reunited through labour mobility

Today is International Day of Families.

Take a moment to share in the joy of Ali and Hussein, brothers from Syria reunited on the other side of the world in Perth, Australia, earlier this year. Both brothers are talented butchers, and received job offers (a year apart) to take up roles at local meat producer Harvey Beef.

This heartwarming scene is a glimpse of what's possible when refugees and other displaced people can move internationally for work. Ali and Hussein can now rebuild their careers and raise their families in safety, security, and with dignity.
