The employer is looking for a Cake Decorator and Chocolatier to join their growing team in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia and be a part of their growing business. As an employee, you will be a valued member of their Infrastructure business and have access to all the benefits of the company provides.

Responsibilities

Creating designs and modifying them in line with customer requirements
Setting up equipment and working independently
Baking cakes to order and assembling these if necessary
Adding decorations, chocolate, and icing to cakes
Processing cocoa beans as well as tempering, molding, and storing chocolate properly.

Qualifications

Upper-Intermediate communications skills in English. Knowledge of whipping cream and cake making and decoration
Knowledge of fine pastries and cakes
Knowledge of operating ovens and industrial mixers and food processing equipment.
Knows how to heat and temper chocolate truffles
Knows how to clean and shine chocolate molds
Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift items that weigh up to 23 Kg.
