The employer is looking for a Baker with experience in baking traditional French/European pastry to join their growing team in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia and be a part of their growing business. As an employee, you will be a valued member of their Infrastructure business and have access to all the benefits of the company provides.

Responsibilities

Prepare dough for traditional French/European pastry and bread.
Operate baking machinery and equipment.
Bake mixed doughs and batters.
Cut and Shape doughs in traditional methods.
Ensure quality of products meets established standards.
Work well with others/team player.
Able to work nights and weekends.
Knowledge of operating a bakery oven.

Qualifications

Upper-Intermediate communications skills in English.
Knowledge of whipping cream and cake making and decoration.
Knowledge of fine pastries and cakes.
Knowledge of operating ovens and industrial mixers and food processing equipment.
Knows how to heat and temper chocolate truffles.
Knows how to clean and shine chocolate molds.
Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift items that weigh up to 23 Kg.
