The violence faced by the people of Afghanistan is putting thousands of peoples lives at risk. Women and girls, journalists, LGBTQ+ people, human rights defenders and so many others have been scrambling to exit the country, with many left behind facing the prospect of life under Taliban rule.

For the refugees who escaped in the weeks and months leading up to this crisis, and for many of those evacuated in the immediate aftermath, their futures are now uncertain.

We have a responsibility to act in times of crisis, and we at TBB are taking action to support Afghan refugees globally. What can you do to support?

Hire refugees

If you’re a business with hiring needs, Talent Beyond Boundaries can connect you with outstanding Afghan candidates who are currently living in vulnerable situations, as well as talented refugees from many other countries.

We can provide you with the CVs of software engineers, accountants, healthcare workers and many other professionals and skilled tradespeople. If after interviews you find a candidate you would like to hire, you issue a job offer and sponsor their visa.

If you don’t find anyone to hire, we ask that you consider referring any top candidates to another employer (who may be better suited to their skills) or offer mentoring to the candidate to help them improve their chances next time.

Donate to help refugees find safety

The situation in Afghanistan highlights the critical importance of labour mobility pathways as an additional durable solution for refugees. Talent Beyond Boundaries is the leading organization pioneering talent mobility pathways globally and connecting skilled refugees with employers and skilled visas in safe countries.

Our Talent Catalog database  showcases the skills and talents of almost 30,000 refugees who are living in challenging circumstances and just need to be given a chance.

We are in need of resources to continue our work supporting refugees on the ground. We are launching this appeal to raise the funds needed to extend our targeted outreach to Afghan refugees and other displaced refugees in third countries to help them access mobility pathways.

Volunteer your time

You can sign up to volunteer your time to support mock interviews for our candidates.

We connect refugee candidates with mock interview volunteers in order to help them to practice for their interviews with employers that are interested in their skills. This step is crucial to the success of refugee candidates in securing employment. As a mock interviewer you will be expected to conduct a 30-minute online interview with candidates, and provide 15 minutes of constructive feedback.

If you’re interested in conducting mock interviews, you can sign up here. We will be in touch with next steps.

Donate your airline miles

You can donate your airline miles to support refugees' relocation.

Miles4Migrants works with NGO partners including Talent Beyond Boundaries to provide free flights to refugees and migrants at risk. Simply visit Miles For Migrants’ website and pledge your miles/points or donate flight vouchers.
